  My recent stay at the HI Express, Albert Dock was excellent. I stay in HI Express a lot for work and so I am pretty accustomed to what to expect and almost always happy with my stay. The Albert Dock however was a step better than most of the HI Express I stay at. The building is a period dock building and full of character. The breakfast area was very nice and quite cosy with views over the dock and Mersey. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I stayed this time with my family rather than on business and the location was excellent for both shopping and evening entertainment. I would highly recommend the hotel for both value and quality.

  More than a standard Holiday Inn Express as it's situated inside a converted historic waterfront warehouse. The interior features are unique and interesting to see. Be prepared to pay quite a lot to park on the adjoining street as they do not do overnight rated, but there are other car parks nearby you can use.
